Columbia rolls past WC

Loe's 22 points leads Lions' 72-32 quarterfinal victory

Lindsay Loe scored a game-high 22 points to lead fourth-ranked Columbia of Hunters to a 72-32 quarterfinal win over Wilson Creek on Thursday in the Class 1B girls state tournament.

The Lions raced out to a 19-8 lead after the first quarter.

Casey Kieffer added 13 points for the Lions (23-4). She converted 6 of 7 shots and had a 3-pointer.

Columbia's defense helped pressure Wilson Creek (14-8) into 41 turnovers while coming away with 32 steals. Mackenzie Parrow had seven steals and Julie Ann Larrew grabbed six.

Loe finished with nine rebounds, including eight offensive rebounds.

Ksenja Fredere, who scored a single-game record 36 points on Wednesday, was held to nine against Columbia.
